Tips and Tricks for Creating Your Portfolio with Coach LMS

  • Be Clear and Concise: When entering your details, make sure your descriptions are clear and to the point. Highlight your key skills and achievements without overwhelming the reader with too much information.

  • Showcase Your Best Work: Select projects and examples representing your skills and experience. Quality over quantity is key.

  • Use High-Quality Images: Ensure any visuals you include are of high quality. Poor visuals can detract from the professionalism of your portfolio.

  • Tailor Your CTA: Customize your call-to-action to align with your career goals. Whether it's to get in touch, view your LinkedIn profile, or download your resume, make sure it is compelling.

  • Update Regularly: Keep your portfolio up-to-date with your latest projects, skills, and achievements. An outdated portfolio can reflect poorly on your attention to detail.

  • Include Testimonials: If possible, add testimonials from colleagues, clients, or supervisors. These can add credibility and provide third-party validation of your skills.

  • Highlight Relevant Skills: Ensure the skills you highlight are relevant to the jobs you are applying for. Tailor this section to match the requirements of your target industry or role.

  • Proofread Carefully: Spelling and grammatical errors can create a negative impression. Proofread your portfolio thoroughly before sharing it.

  • Use Publicly Shared Links: The links you are pasting should have public view access."

Configuration

You can customize the portfolio URL by adding your text after the fixed URL, including SEO Title, Meta-Description, and Favicon.

Using CNAME, you can use your domain (Example: www.akashsharma.com) with your coach portfolio and not worry about hosting them on your server.

To enter your custom domain, you need to sign in to your Domain Hosting Service to validate the domain specified in Coach LMS and point CNAME to http://cname-ssl.coachlms.org. Here are the steps you can follow:

  1. Sign in to your domain hosting service.

  2. Navigate to your DNS management page.

  3. Find the CNAME record settings, and open the respective CNAME record in edit mode.

  4. Once the Custom Domain or Sub Domain is verified, in Step 2, your Automated SSL will be validated and made to point towards your Custom Domain or Sub Domain.

NOTE: You will see the status as Verified once the SSL is verified.
